Where Were We

I ran Tuesday and Wednesday. Temps in the low 50s and mid 40s. 11 miles Tuesday and 3 today. I never knew how easy three miles could be until I'd done 17 and then 11 on the prior run days. I hardly broke a sweat. I thought back to a year ago and how a normal run was 3 miles, 4 miles was a push and 6 miles around the lake was a looong run. It's amazing what training can do for you.
I wrote a month or so ago how I was busting through my annual mileage goal of 600. Well I'm at 963 and should be past 1,000 by next Tuesday.

Now as for Mia's personal info request, I'll answer but not tag anybody because I'm not inclined to let the string fester. Five things about me (3 are true; I'll reveal truth later):

1. My dad is a priest.
2. I immigrated with my family from Ireland.
3. I skipped fifth grade, with an IQ of 140.
4. I can wiggle my ears.
5. I attended seminary in Berkeley, Calif.

LOL... are we supposed to guess which ones aren't true? Hmm... I guess that #3 and 4 are false. What do I win??? :)

I too hope I can soon look back and consider 4 miles an easy run. As for your post, I guess 3 and 4 are false

I'm guessing that they're all true. But I'm suprised you're leaving out the one about walking on water ;)

I'm completely digging going back to shorter runs. Amazing how good they still feel. Can't wait to head up to 8 or 9 this weekend. But, after a month of sticking to 3-4 milers, I've come to the conclusion that 5-6 is exactly right for daily runs...

I know how you feel. I remember a few years ago, a friend of mine said something about how she was "only" going to run 3 miles (she usually ran 4 or so) and I thought, three miles will never be "only" for me. I couldn't run one mile at that point. Funny how things change.

Meanwhile, correct me if I'm wrong here (I'm not Xian) but aren't priests meant to be celibate? Which would mean they shouldn't be having kids, right? So my guess is that 1 isn't true. Except that none of your other commenters seem phased by it, so I must be wrong. And I don't know which other one wouldn't be true...

Congrats on the 1,000 miles! I'm going to be different and say they're ALL false and it's a trick question.

oh, this is an evil thing to do to us. Curious how many people think #3 is false!!!

I pick #2. and yeah, i gotta go with #3, only cuz #4 is so plausible, and i'm dying to hear about #5.

You're being so good about your training!

I would say that nos. 4 and 5 are false. I get you went to seminary. Just not in Berkeley. Am I right?!
