I do like 21st century mom's suggestion to run bridges. That will definitely help. Of course, stairs help, but I think the exaggerated form you have to take (lifting knees higher than you would normally when running uphill) could mean knee problems down the road if you're not careful.Rheahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02354343772757799928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9697683.post-1155420819138317432006-08-12T18:13:00.000-04:002006-08-12T18:13:00.000-04:00Plan a visit to TN and I'll show you some serious ...Plan a visit to TN and I'll show you some serious hills!!! But if you train in in a flat area, then you'll notice the inclines more. And I do recall the very end being up up up. I second using bridges for hill workouts. I did that training in coastal Carolina and it worked quite well.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04377440606704745517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9697683.post-1155317612078444312006-08-11T13:33:00.000-04:002006-08-11T13:33:00.000-04:00I watched a film the other day called 'Running on ...I watched a film the other day called 'Running on the Sun' which is about the Badwater Ultra Marathon. The guy from Florida said he didn't have any hills to train on so he used bridges. The rest of it is relatively flat (and you know if there were hills, i'd be screaming about it daily!) There's a SLIGHT hill at the end, but it's not bad. It's bad only because it's at the end.

And from the girl who didn't know that powerade was the jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15105083650427355181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9697683.post-1155261807160658262006-08-10T22:03:00.000-04:002006-08-10T22:03:00.000-04:00I have a great idea—-plan another trip to CT to ge...I have a great idea—-plan another trip to CT to get in some hill training. :)April Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01327700317348953659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9697683.post-1155260561114940242006-08-10T21:42:00.000-04:002006-08-10T21:42:00.000-04:00I was under the impression that it was mostly flat...I was under the impression that it was mostly flat with a hill at the end.
